ULUWATU TEMPLE

Uluwatu Temple is located in Badung regency, south of Kuta. Uluwatu Temple if we look from a position in the map of the island of Bali, in the southwest. and serves as a place of worship of the god Rudra. The position of the Uluwatu temple, face to face with Andakasa Temple, Batur Temple and Besakih temple. Because it's generally a lot of Hindus are very confident in that Uluwatu Temple as a medium to invoke the gift of arranging life on this earth.

 According to LONTAR (ancient literature) Kusuma Dewa, this temple was founded at the instigation of Mpu Kuturan around the 11th century. Pura is one of the six largest temple in Bali database known as Pura Sad Kahyangan mentioned in Dewa Kusuma.

uluwatu temple stand sturdy on cliff 80m from sea surface, surrounded by woods inhabited by more than 1,000 monkeys, which is also one of the attraction of tourists who come everyday to the Uluwatu temple. Which is located about 25km from downtown Denpasar. If you come to visit Uluwatu temple you not only see the temples and monkeys, let alone just the usual cliffs and scenery.
